Launches

To mark the introduction of the schools network to a specific area, The Life Channel often hosts a launch within a supportive school and invites local headteachers and school governors to attend.

The launch, featuring government, local authority and community agency representatives speaking of the benefits of The Life Channel Schools to students, is designed to highlight how the community can work together to ensure students are better informed of issues such as personal health management, safety awareness and community cohesion.

Notable launches over the past few years have included the initial launch of The Life Channel by former Prime Minister Tony Blair at Ferryhill Business College in 2007 as well as The Life Channel's introduction to schools in Northern Ireland celebrated at Ashfield Boys High School.
