Raising awareness of Macmillan Cancer Support

Raising awareness of Macmillan Cancer Support

27 Apr 2009

The Life Channel helps drive awareness of Macmillan's much-needed Cancer Support services through our engaging TV network

The Life Channel television network is helping to spread awareness of Macmillan Cancer Support services by broadcasting their advertisements to over 1600 surgeries across the UK.

"A staggering two million people in the UK have had a cancer diagnosis," said Carly Burton, Macmillan Cancer Support's Brand Manager. "Our aim is to support every one of these people so they can feel more in control of their future and have a better quality of life."

Following successful campaigns during 2008, the advertisements will run on The Life Channel's screens nationally for one year, raising awareness of the services Macmillan Cancer Support provide to people affected by cancer, as well as their family and carers. Their overarching theme is 'some days it's not all about cancer, it's about life'.

Broadcasting to GP surgeries' waiting rooms, The Life Channel is one of the leading out-of-home television networks in Europe. Encouraging community engagement through its tailored, health-related programming, the network broadcasts targeted health promotion.
