The Life Channel is coming to Mid Essex!

19 Feb 2009

NHS Mid Essex has built up an exciting partnership with The Life Channel's in-practice TV network, in an effort to get key health and well-being messages across to patients in the area.

Whilst the 2008 Health Profile for Mid Essex suggests that general health across the county is good, there are still some areas of concern including smoking prevalence and obesity rates. The Life Channel's innovative network gives doctors' surgeries the unique opportunity to communicate directly to people most affected by these vital health issues, as well as to promote awareness of other local needs.

"NHS Mid Essex is committed to providing more and better information to patients to help them look after their own health and wellbeing," said Jan Yates, Director of Public Health and Improvement for NHS Mid Essex. "We have commissioned The Life Channel to help us do this."
