The Life Channel Surgeries TV network has developed strong bonds with the Department of Health, successfully helping to promote new initiative NHS Choices nationwide.
A rigorous research study conducted by the Department of Health showed that The Life Channel effectively communicates complex information nationwide. One example of this is the network's communication of the key themes in NHS Choices, an initiative which has been developed to help the public make choices about their health, from lifestyle decisions about issues such as smoking, drinking and exercise, through to the practical aspects of finding and using NHS services when you need them. The NHS Choices website provides expert information on conditions, treatments, local services and healthy living.
"It's been good working with The Life Channel," said Lynn Plant, National Choice Communication Lead for the Department of Health. "Hopefully we can now spread the word about the effectiveness of The Life Channel in delivering key health messages across other areas.
Supported by key health authorities such as the Department of Health, the NHS and the Food Standards Agency, The Life Channel is the UK's leading private in-practice television network, broadcasting health and community programming to over 1,800 GP Surgeries as well as Pharmacies, Schools, Colleges, Opticians and Play Centres. Everyday, more than five million patients receive the network's information and advice whilst waiting to see their Doctor.
