The Life Channel has been exhibiting at Primary Care Live, the most significant conference and exhibition in the professional healthcare calendar.
Held at two major venues, including the Excel in London on 30th Sept and 1st Oct, and Manchester Central on 18th and 19th Nov, the second annual Primary Care Live event attracted over 6,000 delegates, including GPs, practice staff, primary care trust representatives and members of community agencies. Using examples of how The Life Channel works, along with video testimonials from primary care trusts, delegates were shown how this high-quality network can support local and national initiatives within the community.
"The Primary Care Live exhibition has been a great point of access for us to reach the professional healthcare industry," said Jeremy Earley, Commercial Director of The Life Channel. "We find that once the GPs and PCT directors view our network and understand how The Life Channel can assist in the communication process to patients, they tend to want to use our medium in their practice or community."
Supported by key health authorities such as the Department of Health, the NHS and the Food Standards Agency, The Life Channel is the UK's leading private in-practice television network. We broadcast health and community programming to over 1,800 GP surgeries, as well as to pharmacies, schools, colleges, opticians and children's play centres. Every month, an estimated five million patients receive the network's information and advice whilst waiting to see their doctor.
The Life Channel has enjoyed successful relationships over the years with many primary care trusts, and provides a unique opportunity for them to get across important public awareness messages. In addition, The Life Channel has recently helped the Department of Health to inform the public about a series of national campaigns, including '18 Weeks' and 'NHS Choices'.
"It's been good working with The Life Channel," said Lynn Plant, National Choice Communication Lead for the Department of Health. "Hopefully we can now spread the word about the effectiveness of The Life Channel in delivering key health messages across other areas."
