Our New Carbon Calculator

As part of our Lifechannel Renewables scheme, we now have an online carbon footprint calculator for pupils and teachers alike! TLC'S Carbon Calculator is a simple way for pupils to see and monitor how much carbon their school uses. By counting up the electrical equipment in the school and entering the values into the Carbon Calculator pupils calculate the amount of carbon their school generates.

This encourages pupils to take responsibility for their own carbon footprint by showing just how much carbon their school day is generating. It also allows pupils to then look at how the school's carbon footprint can be lowered through alternative, clean power sources such as solar power which is what the Lifechannel Renewables scheme is all about.
