The Life Channel works with over 2,000 schools nationwide and facilitates links between schools. The Life Channel can be used to communicate with schools all over the country so a rural school could form links with a more diverse inner city school or a northern school could link with a London school to share their build up to the Olympics.
By allowing schools to form links between each other The Life Channel is hoping to promote diversity and tolerance throughout the country. Whilst Britain is united as a whole, the regions within Britain are often quite different with different local traditions and viewpoints. Most school pupils will only have the opportunity to interact with other pupils from the local area who will be similar to themselves; The Life Channel is opening up the whole of the country to school pupils, helping them to see how diverse Britain really is.
