The Life Channel benefits Wirral patients

3 Aug 2009

GP surgery patients in Wirral are benefiting from The Life Channel's in-practice TV network.

71 sites in Wirral, including GP surgeries and dentists, currently broadcast the network.

The Life Channel is a national television network which is designed to be effectively tailored to local needs. The network's national programming is designed around health, well-being and community issues; it is adapted to each local authority and PCT area with relevant health promotion campaigns and information about a range of local services.

Individual surgeries are able to show relevant information about their practices, giving them up-to-date communication with the people in their waiting rooms.

Marie Armitage, Joint Director of Public Health, said, "Wirral PCT has signed up with The Life Channel, as it will help us to achieve our aim of providing important local and national information and messages of health and well-being to our patients."
