Four of The Life Channel's schools have been shortlisted for Becta's 2009 ICT Excellence Awards.
The shortlisted schools include: Dyke House School in Hartlepool; St John the Baptist Primary in Stockton-on-Tees; Ninelands Primary School in Leeds; and Belfast Model School for Girls.
The ICT Excellence Awards is an awards scheme for schools, which aims to identify and reward whole school excellence in ICT. This includes UK schools which approach ICT in outstanding or innovative ways, benefiting their whole community, inside and outside the school building. By recognising whole-school best practice, these awards are closely aligned with Becta's self-review framework and the ICT Mark. While rewarding the school as a whole, there is a focus within the awards on those individuals leading change within the school and making an impact across it.
Award winners to be announced 19 November.
