Launches

The Life Channel has held several launches to mark the growth of the networks in specific regions across the UK.

GP Surgery network

The Life Channel has adapted its strategy in recent years in terms of securing the agreement of GPs to host the network by working closely with each Primary Care Trust to hold a launch in each area.

Through the development of strong working partnerships with the FA Premier League and the Coca-Cola Championship Football League, The Life Channel hosts each launch at a major football club and invites key individuals from within the Primary Care Trust, local authorities, community agencies (such as the Emergency Services, Crime Safety Partnerships, Local Strategic Partnerships, Drug & Alcohol Awareness Teams and Smoking Cessation services), GPs and Practice Staff to witness the opportunities The Life Channel offers in terms of engaging patients in the waiting room.

As a measure of the support for The Life Channel, a number of key individuals from within other Primary Care Trusts enjoying the benefits of the network in their regions have been more than pleased to speak on our behalf.

Schools network

To mark the introduction of the schools network to a specific area, The Life Channel hosts a launch within a supportive school and invites local headteachers and school governors to attend. The launch featuring government, local authority and community agency representatives speaking of the benefits of The Life Channel Schools to students, is designed to highlight how the community can work together to ensure students are better informed of issues such as personal health management, safety awareness and community cohesion.
