The Life Channel's Young Filmmaker's Competition, in partnership with the Daily Mirror's Stop Knives Save Lives campaign received a fantastic response from budding Directors and Producers throughout the UK.
Our celebrity judges, who included Hollywood star Ray Winstone, king of the I'm a Celebrity jungle Joe Swash, actor Ashley Walters, Assistant Chief Constable Duncan McCausland and Phil Austin, Chief Executive of The Life Channel reviewed all the films entered and we are now pleased to announce the winners and finalists!
Congratulations to:
The 11-13 Category Winner: Jessica Rawlins, aged 12, from Leeds for her movie 'One Life One Knife'. Jessica has won a year's worth of free films at any UK Vue Cinema.
The 14-17 Category Winner: Jonathan Berry, aged 16 from Thatcham, Berks, for his movie '05:54'. Jonathan has won a trip to the world famous Pinewood Studios.
The 18-21 Category Winner: Tom Greenidge, aged 20 for his film 'Who's the Victim?'. Tom has won a week working with the production team of film company Vertigo Films' latest movie, shot in 3D, called 'Street Dance'.
All three have also won a Flip Ultra digital camcorder.
