Schools

Launched by Tony Blair in his home constituency of Durham in spring 2007, The Life Channel Schools network is a bespoke television network spreading the message of health & well-being and community.

Situated within key dwell areas, the schools network delivers school and community messaging, national and local government communications and high quality, targeted programming to students, teachers and school visitors.

Supporting the Government's 'Every Child Matters' agenda and the National Curriculum, the network tackles the pertinent issues facing school children in the present climate. Our network is designed to provide schools with an effective communications tool relaying vital information to age-specific audiences. The channel is bespoke to each individual school, an interactive service which provides school staff with control over specific programming, helping to guide students and keep them informed of key issues within the community.

Through utilizing the latest technology, teachers have access to an online portal of more than 500 pre-prepared programmes covering community and individual issues, from anti-social behaviour to crime, citizenship to nutrition. Alongside core programming, schools have the opportunity to upload their own content, from live action footage of events to digitally created message templates.

The Life Channel Schools has been identified with aiding the improvement of communication between teachers and students, with parents and school visitors and helping to integrate schools further within the community.
